PROJECT: SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE AND CURB RAMP CONSTRUCTION
The City of Springfield is seeking a qualified contractor to remove and replace sidewalks, wheelchair ramps, construction of new wheelchair ramps, remove and replace curb and gutter and driveways, and remove and replace, as well as build new ADA ramps among streets and intersections provided by the Public Works Street Maintenance Department. The contract will consist of the removal and replacement of connecting sidewalks, curb and gutter, and other work as defined in the specifications. The locations of the sidewalks and curb ramps are on residential, collector and arterial streets in all council zones throughout the city. Mobilization is not a billable item in the bid tab. All sidewalk and ramp construction shall meet the current PROWAG and City of Springfield Public Works Design Standards. One or a combination of more than one of the work items described herein may be required to be performed at any given site pursuant to the requirements of the work required at the site.
The City is seeking a contractor who has the time and ability to complete at least $400,000.00 worth of sidewalk maintenance / curb ramp construction work every three (3) months. The City estimates the annual usage of this contract to be around $1.7 million dollars.
All pricing of items listed on the bid form shall include all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, mobilization, and all other costs required to construct the work in accordance with the contract documents.
A contract will be issued for a one-year term with the option of four (4) annual renewals.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A pre-bid conference will be held on APRIL 15, 2021 at 10:00 am CST via videoconference through Zoom. To participate, email the Buyer, Margaret Juarez (mjuarez@springfieldmo.gov) for the link and password. The Pre-Bid Conference is not mandatory; however, attendance is strongly advised.
Bids must be received electronically in the City’s e-bidding service provider DemandStar by 3:00 P.M. CST on THURSDAY, APRIL 29, 2021.
All wages paid for work under this Contract shall comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law of the State of Missouri, Sec 290.210 et seq., R.S. Mo., as amended by the Division of Labor Standards, State of Missouri and regulations promulgated by the Division of Labor.
