NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Notice No. 2740

Sealed bids for the Jefferson Streetscape will be accepted at the City of Springfield, Busch Building, 840 Boonville, Springfield, MO 65802 until 10:30 a.m. on November 8, 2022, and them publicly opened and read aloud in the 2nd floor West Conference room of the Busch Building.  Bids received after t10:30a.m. will be returned unopened.

This project consists of streetscape improvements on the east side of Jefferson Avenue Between St. Louis and Walnut Street.

Bid Documents and Plans can be obtained at Springfield Blue Print at 219 E Pershing St., Springfield, MO 65806, phone 417-869-7316, or website.  For further bidding information, contact Angela Nelson, City of Springfield, Public Works, at 417-864-0069.

Pre-bid Conference/Site Investigation:  A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 on Friday October 21,2022 in the 2nd floor West Conference room of the Busch Building.  All Bidders are encouraged to review the work site and attend the Pre-bid Conference.

A certified or casher’s check or bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the the bid shall be submitted with each proposal.  Note all labor shall be paid Missouri Prevailing Wages.  The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities in bids.

The City of Springfield, Missouri hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.
