Addendum No. 1
Clarifications:
A lowering of the joint trench not shown on the plans is required just west of WL 26 to allow main installation below the existing box culvert. An additional pair of vertical ells for both the water and gas mains will be provided to the contractor to facilitate the lowering.
The Contractor will be required to replace only the portion of the curb that has been disturbed by the construction of our work. Any such curb replacement will be considered incidental to the bid item associated with the work being performed. It is recommended that photo evidence of preconstruction conditions be collected and maintained by the contractor.
Luster – South of Gallowa, DWG: 79878D: During the preconstruction meeting it was discussed that a 4-inch plastic casing would be provided to the Contractor between Work Locations 1 and 2 and between Work Locations 2 and 3. This work is shown on sheet 2 of 4 of the plans. The Contractor may choose to install the 2-inch plastic gas main between these work locations by trenchless methods or by trenching. If the Contractor chooses to install the main by trenching, they may omit the casing, but the Contractor will be responsible for the concrete sidewalk replacement (including ADA ramps), concrete curb and gutter, and roadway repair to the City of Springfield Standards.
