PROJECT:  CONSTRUCTON OF FIRE STATION #13 (FDNS.13)

The City of Springfield is seeking qualified contractors to construct a new Fire Station #13 building, site improvements, and other work as indicated in the Contract Documents.  The project is located at 1900 W. College Street, Springfield, MO. The new fire station will be a one story, two bay station housing three shifts of four crew members.  The goal of this projects is to produce a new facility that supports the life safety of the fire crews, to accommodate the needs of all fire personnel, and to provide a low maintenance facility for the Fire Department.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE:  A pre-bid conference will be held on WEDNESDAY, JULY 14, 2021 at 3:00 PM (CST) via videoconference through Zoom.  To participate, email the Buyer, Margaret Juarez (mjuarez@springfieldmo.gov) for the link and password.  The Pre-Bid Conference is not mandatory; however, attendance is strongly advised.  Failure to attend may be addressed during the evaluation process.

Bids must be received electronically in the City’s e-bidding service provider DemandStar by 3:00 P.M. CST on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 11, 2021 (REVISED DATE).  

All wages paid for work under this Contract shall comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law of the State of Missouri, Sec 290.210 et seq., R.S. Mo., as amended by the Division of Labor Standards, State of Missouri and regulations promulgated by the Division of Labor.  The City of Springfield hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
