PROJECT:  SPRINGFIELD ART MUSEUM NEW PARKING (AMNP)

The City of Springfield is seeking a qualified contractor to provide site improvements including the construction of a new parking area at the  northwest quadrant of the Art Museum property located at 1111 Brookside Drive, Springfield MO 65807.  The work will include demolition, earthwork, storm sewer, stormwater, retainage and water quality, concrete and stone retaining walls, sidewalks, paving (permeable pavers, asphalt, concrete), concrete sidewalks, lighting, landscaping (including plantings and irrigation), and other ancillary work to include renovations around the amphitheater. Full intent of the work is indicated in the specifications and plans.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE:  A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM (CST). The pre-bid conference will be conducted via videoconference through Zoom, AND in person at the Springfield Art Museum located at 1111 E. Brookside Dr. Springfield, MO 65807. To participate in the Zoom Pre-Bid, please email the Buyer, Margaret Juarez (mjuarez@springfieldmo.gov) for the link and password. The Pre-Bid Conference is not mandatory; however, attendance is strongly advised.

SITE VISIT:  The site visit will directly follow the Pre-Bid Conference on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23, 2021 at the Springfield Art Museum located at 1111 Brookside Drive, Springfield, MO 65807.  No questions will be taken at the site tour.

Bids must be received electronically in the City’s e-bidding service provider DemandStar by 3:00 P.M. CST on THURSDAY, JULY 8, 2021.  

All wages paid for work under this Contract shall comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law of the State of Missouri, Sec 290.210 et seq., R.S. Mo., as amended by the Division of Labor Standards, State of Missouri and regulations promulgated by the Division of Labor.  The City of Springfield hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
