Dear Springfield Contractors,

My name is Shari Bracy and I have asked your organization’s leadership if they would be willing to send out this information on behalf of one of your members, Scott Bracy. As you know, Scott has been an active member in the Springfield Contractors organization and the Springfield building community for many, many years.

As you might have recently heard, on May 24, 2019, my sweet brother’s world was changed forever! Scott was diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS/Lou Gehrig’s disease), a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. As I am sure you can all understand, as a family, we are devastated but committed to helping raise awareness and finding a cure.

On Saturday, September 28, Springfield is hosting its 2019 Walk to Defeat ALS at Chesterfield Village. It would be wonderful to have you come and join – TEAM BRACY – in honor of Scott.
