The Carpet Shoppe
50 Years in Business
The Carpet Shoppe is a two-time recipient of Springfield HBA’s Associate of the Year award, is one of few recipients of SBJ’s Economic Impact Award and has been voted best flooring store in the Springfield News-Leader’s Best of the Ozarks on several occasions.
The Carpet Shoppe opened on December 14th, 1970, in the same building we operate at today. Dale started the company with a few carpet samples selected for builder and commercial clients with no plans for servicing retail customers. Much to Dale’s surprise, retail customers from the Brentwood neighborhood and all over Springfield started visiting. From opening with a single installation crew of two people to having 30 crews with around 70 installers, Dale attributes much of our success to our quality installation team. This year we are celebrating our 50th anniversary.
Products available at The Carpet Shoppe include carpet, hardwood, ceramic and porcelain tile, luxury vinyl, laminate, and area rugs.
The Carpet Shoppe provides services to residential, commercial, and builder customers. We can install all the products we carry and more! Examples of custom services we provide are custom showers, fireplaces, staircases, backsplashes, entryways, outdoor spaces, and media rooms. Our commercial projects have ranged from small banks to large schools and apartment complexes. We also have a team of skilled estimators we send out at no cost to our customers to measure their spaces for quality estimates. No matter the project, we pride ourselves on providing service beyond our customer’s expectations.
The Carpet Shoppe participates in the Bass Bash Tournament, Generation Next, SCA General Meetings, and Skeet Shoots.
Generation Next March Meeting
The March Generation Next Meeting is on Wednesday. If you or someone you work with is under 40 years old and interested in learning more about Generation Next, please come to the meeting.

No Cost to Attend
There is no extra cost for SCA members to join Generation Next. Generation Next is the under 40 group of the Springfield Contractors Association. They have monthly meetings and invite all SCA members to participate in social events and community service opportunities.

Generation Next Membership Competition
In an effort to boost involvement and help owners and managers get their younger employees involved in the Generation Next group, Gen Next is going to pay the 2022 SCA membership fee for the company that gets the most new members to attend Gen Next monthly meetings in 2021.
Generation Next meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month either in the evening or over lunch. Anyone that is a member of the SCA and is under 40 years old can be a member of Generation Next for no additional cost. New members will be counted at each monthly meeting, and a yearend total will determine which SCA Member Company had the most new members for the year attend.
