Springfield ADA Improvement Project Bid

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Notice No. ?2746

Sealed bids for the ADA Ramps of Various Signalized Arterial Roadways, along sections of Sunshine Street, Battlefield Road and National Avenue project will be accepted at the City of Springfield, Busch Building, 840 Boonville, Springfield, MO 65802 until 10:30 a.m. on August 1, 2023, and then publicly opened and read aloud in the 2nd floor West Conference Room of the Busch Building. Bids received after 10:30 a.m. will be returned unopened.

This project consists of replacing existing ADA facilities at various intersections along the following corridors: Sunshine Street between Kansas Expressway and Glenstone Avenue, Battlefield Road between Golden Avenue and Scenic Avenue, Battlefield Road between Kansas Expressway and National Avenue, Battlefield Road between Fremont Avenue and Glenstone Avenue, and National Avenue between Kearney Street and Sunset Street. Project includes approximately 5,000 sy of concrete ramps and 3,000 sy of ADA sidewalk. Project will also include installation of ADA push buttons. The contractor is expected to work simultaneously with the adjacent Mill and Overlay contractor, should worksites overlap.

Pre-bid Conference/Site Investigation: A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday July 191h, 2023, in the 2nd floor West Conference Room of the Busch Building. All Bidders are encouraged to review the work site and attend the Pre-bid Conference.
A certified or cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall be submitted with each proposal. Note all labor shall be paid Missouri Prevailing Wages and/or Federal Davis-Bacon Wages whichever is higher.

Bidder must be on the MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor list per section 102.2 of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, current version including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening.
Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on this project must provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees.

The DBE Goal for this project is 0%.
